Turquoise is December's birthstone and is an ornamental stone known for its unique cyan colour that falls between sky blues to green hues. It's believed to be one of the first gemstones to be mined, and in some cultures considered a protective stone.
It is also associated with various meanings throughout history - wisdom, happiness, hope, and enduring love.
Mined in Central Australia, our Australian Turquoise gemstones are natural, pure untreated stones and display a range of unique colours ranging from robin's egg blue to sky blue. Our Turquoise necklace features natural turquoise with matrix (web like patterns), which are highly valued in Australian Turquoise. Each piece is hand selected from a vintage lot and are individually cut, rounded and polished - being truly one of a kind.
