Materials used in our handmade jewellery

Here at SHAZOEY, our handmade jewellery pieces feature precious metals and hand selected genuine gemstones. Our ethos centres on creating high quality jewellery pieces that are made to last, designed to be worn and loved for years to come.

GOLD FILLED
Our 14k gold filled jewellery contains a real layer of gold that is pressure-bonded to a core metal using pressure and heat. This gold layer is much thicker than gold plated pieces and can last as long as solid 14k gold jewellery if well cared for. Safe for most with sensitive skin.

GOLD VERMEIL
Gold vermeil is a base of sterling silver plated with a thick layer of gold. Our gold and rose gold vermeil initial pendants are double plated with 22-24k gold, to ensure longevity when compared with regular vermeil pieces. Store in a resealable plastic pouch when not in use, because even though the gold may not tarnish, the silver underneath will. It is natural for the gold to wear off over time, adding character to the piece. Safe for most with sensitive skin.

STERLING SILVER
Sterling silver is a mixture of pure silver and usually copper. Wear often or store in a resealable plastic pouch to prevent tarnish. If tarnished, use a silver cloth to gently buff and clean. Safe for most with sensitive skin.

GEMSTONES
Hot water, perfume, skincare/sunscreen, and harsh cleaners should be avoided at all times. After wearing, wipe your gemstone jewellery gently with the cloth provided or with an untreated, dry, soft microfibre cloth.
